Joel Teaford
Joel served as the Attorney for CD4AP from 2008 to 2022. Joel was born in Columbus, received his BA from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. and his JD from the Harvard Law School. He is currently a Trustee of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Previously, he was Executive Vice-President of a residential and commercial real estate developer. He served at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kaduna, Nigeria. He served as Chairman of the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority. He was also a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kaduna, Nigeria. He served as Chairman of the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, a Trustee of The Ohio State University and Treasurer of the NNEMAP Food Pantry.
Joel has been a Trustee of the United Methodist Children’s Home, the Pontifical College Josephinum, and President of the Columbus Metropolitan Club. He has also been a Trustee of the United Methodist Children’s Home, the Pontifical College Josephinum, and President of the Columbus Metropolitan Club. From 1972 to 1990, he practiced law in Columbus. He served as Executive Director of the Neighborhood Design Center from 2000 to 2008. From 2008-2015 he was the Executive Director of the county land bank. Previously, he was Executive Vice-President of a residential and commercial real estate developer. He and his wife of over 50 years, Meg, a retired Associate Professor of Gerontology at OSU, have lived in German Village throughout their marriage. They have two adult sons and one grandson.
